Appointment Times

All patients are seen by appointment only. We can normally offer you an appointment with the doctor of your choice within 7 working days and with any doctor within working 2 days. We have a system for "on the day availability" to help us to meet the needs of patients with urgent or emergency medical problems. To make an appointment please contact the relevant surgery. Alternatively you can now book routine appointments on-line.

Although you are free to consult with any doctor, it is normally best to stay with the same doctor for the duration of any problem to ensure continuity of care.

In addition please note that:

	Separate appointments should be made if more than one family member requires to see a doctor.
	Children under the age of 14 must ALWAYS be accompanied by an adult. This is a legal requirement.
	If you think your problem will require more time than a normal appointment (10 minutes) please tell the receptionist when you make the appointment and arrangements may be made for you to get a longer appointment.
	Return appointments should normally be made before you leave the surgery.
	"Urgent" on the day appointments are of shorter duration (5 minutes) and should be used for urgent medical problems only.
	If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that the appointment can be reallocated. Failing to keep appointments wastes considerable medical time. Dozens of appointments are "lost" each month because patients simply don't turn up.
	Repeated missing of appointments may mean that you will be asked to leave the practice list.
